A breathtaking moment at an Arizona lake has gone viral, capturing a high-speed crash from multiple camera angles. During a recent speedboat race in Lake Havasu City, a twin-hull Skater boat, racing at approximately 200 mph, launched into the air, completed a full backward flip, and slammed back down onto the water.
Remarkably, the racers walked away with only minor injuries. Thanks to advanced harnesses, helmets, and reinforced cockpit structures, what could have been a catastrophic incident resulted in only bumps and bruises, according to the team, Freedom One Racing.
Despite the midair flip, the boat crossed the finish line first, securing the win with a recorded top speed of 200.1 mph. Experts believe a combination of wind gusts and changes to the boat’s trim settings led to the dramatic liftoff.
The footage has quickly gone viral online, offering dramatic views from several different angles. You can watch the viral video here (credit: Freedom One Racing).
